The Australian market continues to soar ahead, but the gains are limited to those stocks with high yields (banks and property), and with the falling Aussie dollar, those stocks with large US operations.

On the evening of May 14, the Federal Government handed down their 6th budget since coming to office. This was probably their most anticipated budget given how close it is to the elections and given the underlying economic environment locally, which seems to be worsening.

 The Australian share market pushed higher this week, on the back of a stronger US market that traded above 15,000 for the first time.
